The Ecology of the New Testament: Creation,
Re-creation and the Environment, by Mark Bredin
Much has been written on creation theology in the Old Testament;
fewer people have tackled the New Testament in this light. What
is the ecological significance of Jesus' temptation in the wilderness?
Of the Beatitutes? Of the table fellowship in the New Testament?
These are the kinds of questions that Bredin is asking. The book
is written for a popular audience by someone who works with learning-disabled
people and gardens as well as scholarship.

Season of Creation, http://seasonofcreation.com/
The developers of this web site note that we have the season of Pentecost
for the Holy Spirit and Advent and Lent celebrating Jesus. Why
not a season recognizing God the Creator? They've developed several
years' worth of worship resources for an annual season of creation
taking place in September. For example, there is a Wisdom in Creation
series, a Natural Disaster series, and a Climate Change series,
among others.
Greening Sacred Spaces, http://www.greeningsacredspaces.net/
A Canadian interfaith organization that helps congregations work
with both their buildings and the human element to make places
of worship more energy efficient. Among their resources is a 76-page
booklet entitled A Practical Guide To Improving Energy Efficiency
Of Your Religious Building.
Interfaith Power and Light, http://interfaithpowerandlight.org/http://interfaithpowerandlight.org/
Interfaith Power and Light operates in 38 states in the U.S. to
spur congregations to develop a religious response to global
warming. One recent campaign was a national preach-in on global
warming in February 2011, which challenged pastors to
preach about climate change. In 2010, IFPL challenged congregations
to reduce their carbon footprints by 10%.
